2oceansvibe Radio recently launched our Melrose Arch Studio to much fanfare in Johannesburg. The launch of the studio was our way of answering the desperate cries of our many thousands of Johannesburg listeners who, since being liberated from Morkels ads, “hump days” and “no repeat workday” radio were craving a stronger taste of the Vibe.
So we arrived.
That’s right, Joburg. We’re in your hood now. And we still aren’t taking meetings after 12h00 on Fridays.
To say that the welcome was warm would be a gross understatement. Celebrities, Mini Roadsters, and platters of food dotted the walkways of Melrose Arch’s Galleria, right outside of the new studio.
Two members of the Johannesburg diplomatic welcoming party.
Entertainment included live performances by Danny K, Ard Matthews, JR, and Jack Parow, each of whom were spectacular in their own right.
Now that the smoke has cleared and the champagne flutes have been packed away, the studio is humming.
Shows currently broadcasting out of the Melrose Arch Studio are the Ian F Show, the Bailey Schneider Show, the BFF Show, the Chris and Malcolm Show, and 2 Non-Blondes.
