Dear-oh-dear.
It has been a while since beloved British actor, Rowan Atkinson smeared his McLaren F1 supercar across the trunk of a tree next to a British highway. Just less than 18 months, in fact.
After more than a year in the hands of McLaren’s expert technicians in Woking, Surrey, it has emerged that repairs to the vehicle cost over £1 million, which is a pain in the rear, considering that the car was bought for £640 000 in 1997.
However, the rarity of the vehicle, long waiting periods associated with the purchase of it, and the collectibility of the car all prevented it from being counted a write-off, and insurers were forced to cough up the cash.
Shem.
