The 2013 edition of the Taste of Cape Town festival is around the corner, friends, and to avoid intensely strong feelings of food FOMO, you need to get in on the action, quickly. If facemelting food served in a fun, informal vibe with bubbly, craft beer, and stunning local wines is your bag, then keep reading.
We’re partnering up with our good friends Jack Daniel’s for the event, with a tent featuring a comfy lounge, Jack on ice, and Ard Matthews playing a live acoustic gig – but we’ll tell you more about that tomorrow. In the mean time, keep reading for ticket prices and event info!
HOW IT WORKS:
You buy your tickets. You show up. You exchange cash for Crowns (the official event currency). You amble between over 100 boutique exhibitors, hand-picked artisan producers, premium drink brands and award-winning wineries in the laid back atmosphere of a boutique food market, getting progressively fatter, and happier. If you’re looking for something with a bang, the Pick n Pay Chef’s Theatre will feature live demos by top chefs, and the Pick n Pay Wine and Canapé Experience will give you the inside track on pairing food with wine. Keen for something more exotic? Thai chefs will also demonstrate popular dishes at the Royal Thai Embassy over the four days.
WHO WILL BE THERE:
Luke Dale-Roberts of The Test Kitchen/The Pot Luck Club
