For most, the act of sitting down or getting up from a chair happens when you bend your legs and position your bottom on the chair. And similarly, for getting up.

But not for Star Trek’s Commander Riker. No, he prefers to swing his leg over the chair when he sits down, and swing his leg over the back when he gets up. As some put it, Riker straddles the chair like a cowboy.
