The 25th annual National Geographic Traveler Contest is open, and the contest has seen thousands of applicants test their photographic prowess against each other thus far. Photographs can be submitted in any of the four categories; travel portraits, sense of place, spontaneous moments and outdoor scenes.

The competition’s first prize is a National Geographic Expedition to the Galapagos Islands, as well as having your photo published in the National Geographic Traveler magazine.
