Well you’d be wrong. Reason being, the outrageously naughty Tzvi (real name) came forward with these incredible ‘proof of life’ images and message.
In case you missed it, be sure to see the entry sent in by Eric H (here), showing this spellbinding naughty hipster, captured in Johannesburg. According to the rules (bottom of this page), Eric would win a pair of Pumas if the hipster in question didn’t get in touch within 24 hours. One of the drawbacks of capturing such extreme naughtiness, is there is a good chance a lot of people know him – which is clearly how this hipster received word that he would get a pair of Pumas if he got in touch swiftly.
Let’s cross to an email we received just last night:
Hi Seth,
So even though I generally consider myself strictly a non conformist by nature with a strong sense of individuality I have to confess that I am the “Naughty Hipster” that was snapped this week. My name is Tzvi Karp and I’m more than used to random people snapping photos of me (both the consensual and indiscreet variety) however this occasion at Maboneng was particularly bazaar as I was being asked a whole bunch of random questions while simultaneously being snapped with his Iphone 4.
Attached is a photograph of myself wearing the same outfit at a different event (minus the headgear though which is in fact a turban and not a beenie as stated). If you require any further proof from me that I am the “Naughty Hipster” in the photograph please don’t hesitate to ask and I will be happy to provide you with evidence accordingly!
Looking forward to your response and rocking my spanking new pair of Puma’s -for many more people to photograph naturally –
Best
Tzvi Karp
Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to describe these scenes.
Tzvi, we salute you. You have captured our hearts and indeed minds with your level of originality, and for that you will be rewarded.
for now, I think we should all just gather ourselves and have a little think. Tzvi has truly raised the bar here.
And to Eric, who captured the original shot (here) – although you didn’t win the Puma shoes, you should hold your head up high. The mere fact that all of this happened is an achievement in itself. You have delivered Tzvi to us, and we are all so very much richer for it.
And so we must all return to the streets, with our cameras and hipster settings on high-alert.
Good luck out there, gang..
