    Biomedical engineering professor Bin He from the University of Minnesota is the brains behind this technology. The technology is a brain-computer interface which enables people to use their thoughts to direct the robot. The University of Minnesota said:

    Brain waves (EEG) are picked up by the electrodes of an EEG cap on the scalp, not a chip implanted in the brain.

    People with limited mobility and speech could one day be able to control their artificial limbs or wheelchairs. A real life Xavier.
