Happy Gilmore star Adam Sandler has been spotted on the streets of Cape Town recently. On a break from shooting his new romcom, titled Blended that he is woking on with Drew Barrymore, Sandler visited the trendy Cape Town burger joint, Hudsons, in Union Kloof with his family.

A congregation of 13 people including Sandler, his wife Jackie and two kids Sadie and Sunny sat down to enjoy a meal while according to the general manger Andrew East, “people went crazy.”

Adam was friendly and stood up to shake people’s hands. Some of his companions were protective and asked patrons to respect his privacy.

The 46-year-old Hollywood star ordered a custom burger that consisted of only a meat patty and cheese…yum. The celebrity was also spotted doing some shopping at The Lot and Alibi Clothing.

Most of the filming for the movie has taken place at Sun City over the past two months, but it seems like Cape Town is the place the stars choose to take their well-earned breaks. Drew Barrymore was spotted not so long ago shopping for jewelry and exercising.
