A petition has been created on ‘We Are the People’ on 2 July 2013 and it has 313 signatures to date. The petition is seeking to have Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party in the USA’ replace the country’s national anthem.

The petition needs at least 100,000 signatures before it can be reviewed by White House staff. The popular song by Cyrus has received almost 342 million views on YouTube and is currently the 23rd most watched video, but could it really be the new American national anthem?
