You know that legless guy, that sits in the middle of the road pulling on heartstrings and getting you to throw money to him. Well, Jan Smuts Avenue, Corlett Drive, Riviera Road and Glenhove Road robots and intersections, have all been used by this one man, to fool the heck out of you.
Emmanuel Manwadu, a security guard who patrols the areas, caught the so called “legless beggar” getting up from his character. The video shows the man known as Zondo from Kwa-Zulu Natal, removing his reflector jersey jacket and letting out his squished up legs and feet, picking up his “hard earned” coins and walking away.
Manwadu said:
He is not crippled at all and I always knew this. I spoke to him on Sunday and he pretended to be crippled, but I ordered him to stand up and go.
