IKEA’s Genius Augmented Reality App Lets You Virtually Decorate Your Place Before Buying Furniture [VIDEO]

The IKEA catalogue app available for both iOS and Android on smartphone or tablet enables users to virtually place furniture in their home. All you have to do is place the 2014 IKEA catalogue in the room that you wish to furnish, use the app to scan the catalogue and then chose which furniture pieces to view in your home.
The item which you have selected is then “projected” in the room on your phone or tablet screen using the augmented reality feature, enabling the user to visualise the placement of the item in real time, scaled in proportion to your room size.
