Name Your Hood, a private sector-led initiative which seeks to build stronger communities through interactive public neighbourhood naming campaigns has officially launched their next campaign, the naming of Hood 8 in Cape Town.
Hood 8 is bordered by Roeland, Hatfield and Mill streets. Submissions for names have already opened and will close on Friday 30 August 2013.

The campaign to re-name the streets of Gugulethu was a great success, and has won a prestigious global award for the GOOD Global Citizenship Project. The project is funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The challenge offered five community innovators from around the globe the opportunity to make a difference in their neighbourhoods.
