This is sure to make you shed a tear.
Comedian Sarah Silverman’s dog named Duck, has passed away and she has written a very heartfelt obituary for him.
Silverman adopted Duck 14 years ago, writing on her WhoSay page:
He was picked up by the State running through South Central with no collar, tags or chip. Nobody claimed or adopted him so a no-kill shelter took him in
As Duck got older he experienced health problems, and eventually went blind, deaf and arthritic. She wrote in the obituary that when Duck stopped eating and drinking she knew it was time to let him go. In her final goodbye to Duck, she wrote:
14 years.
My longest relationship.
My only experience of maternal love.
My constant companion.
My best friend.
Duck.
