Stephen King’s ‘It’ has come to life in the English town of Northampton. A man dressed in full clown attire has been spotted hanging out on street corners late at night, holding colourful flowers, balloons and juggling. Clowns are scary enough as it is in the day-time, but in the middle of night, waving at you from a street corner, they’re terrifying.

Some residents have been threatening to mug and hurt the clown because he’s freaking them out so much, but other residents have praised him for creating a talking point among locals. Police have been called several times regarding clown sightings but no crimes have been reported.

The clown has a Facebook page, but no Twitter because, “it confuses the heck out of [him]”. On his Facebook page he posts Pennywise quotes and messages to his fans like,

Beep, beep! Didn’t think I’d be seen tonight. Extremely quiet but there were a few of you who saw. See you all around

Those who aren’t taking too kindly to the clown are pleading him to stop,

You’ve been spotted – now get out of the clown suit and start acting like a grown-up that you supposedly are. Stop scaring people as some people do have real fears of clowns and you are terrorising them, despite what you may say.
