The Star reported today that a South African woman who was living in Kenya is believed to be dead after the attack at Westgate Mall on the weekend.
The mall was supposed to be cleared of hostages yesterday, and the woman, who was believed to be at the mall when the attack occurred has not contacted her family since the weekend.
High Commissioner Super Moloi said they have abandoned hope that she is alive, and will begin to search mortuaries for her body. They are also searching for any other South Africans who may have been killed.
Her name can not be released without permission from her family.
A Mowbray man named James Thomas is the only confirmed South African victim of the attack to date.
