The thing I love about Jeff Bridges is he comes across like The Dude, even when he’s not in character. I mean, surely The Dude would have been spotted in Observatory, at a reggae jol, rather than in Hollywood star mode when in Cape Town? That’s what Jeff did. ‘Cos he’s cool..

    Check this out from citypress:

Bridges, who garnered a cult following for playing The Dude in The Big Lebowski, shunned the city’s well-heeled circles in favour of a “moerse party” in Observatory, which is considered one of the city’s more bohemian suburbs.

He was seen grooving to local reggae band The Rudimentals at a club called Trenchtown on Saturday evening. The club’s owner, Anthony Hendricks, said about 600 people – including Bridges – rocked up at the jol, with a cover charge of R20 per person. “Ja, the bar staff recognised Jeff. It was hecticly busy. It was a moerse party (sic)!”

See below for the recipe for a White Russian – The Dude’s favourite drink:

White Russian Cocktail Recipe – named in 1949 because of its Vodka and Cream content. However in recent years since the release of “The Big Lebowski” the drink is once again becoming popular.

    Ingredients
You will need the following ingredients:
    30ml Vodka
    30ml Tia Maria/Kahula
    30ml whipping/double cream

    Methods

    Or try layering the ingredients
