Matt Damon Made R30 Million For These 20 Seconds Of TV Ad Time [VIDEO]

With payments like these, one is forced to believe that actors like Matt Damon earn a pittance from their films, and are in a position where they need to get as much income from advertising as possible - but we all know that not to be the case.

Why was Matt Damon paid R1,5 million for every second he appeared in this ad for Nespresso? Because he’s Matt Damon, and Nestle have a really big budget.

The ad was made for the UK market, and was directed by Grant Heslov, a producer and co-writer on Clooney and Damon’s upcoming film ‘The Monuments Men’. The acting in the ad isn’t even that great, and Damon has barely any lines to speak of. Which makes us all very, very spiteful.

(Note: our source article for this story embedded a video that didn’t even feature Matt Damon. The full clip is above.)
