Why has no one ever thought of this before? When cars were big and clunky and unaffordable, Ford made the Model T. That started an entirely new car industry – cars were no longer just for the rich. But what about yachts?
Yachts have been historically and permanently stuck in the luxury-goods market, fixed there by manufacturers who insisted on building 60-metre monsters that cost more than the entire third-world debt. Thankfully though, an Italian firm has seen the light.
Lazzarini may be to Yachts what Ford was to cars. Their brand new ‘Jet Capsule’ comes in at seven metres long and just over three metres wide. Despite its size, it comes with all the things you’d expect in a yacht: seating for eight, a diving platform, teak flooring, toilet, a bedroom conversion, and the ability to add a kitchen into the main compartment. It also has up to 500 horsepower.
You want one, don’t you? Well, the nice thing is that you can keep the dream alive without a price tag bursting your bubble – because there isn’t a price tag just yet.
Hey, it might be cheap enough. What’s reasonable, one bar?
