Woah – that’s gotta hurt. Brian Gillespie was taking the Hasport Hondata Insight Car for a little test run in the desert, when things when a little awry.
He was doing something between 280 – 300 km/h when the vehicle turned wildly, and started rolling in a high speed death-tumble. The car is going tad too fast to count, but we estimate that it rolled about 20 times.
Luckily, the onboard safety equipment worked just as planned. Surprisingly, like Richard Hammond in his 463km/h crash, Gillespie was mostly unharmed. He was airlifted to hospital, and suffered only a collapsed lung, some cuts and bruises. He was released from hospital after only a week.
