Yep, you read that correctly. A musical based on the life of Tupac Shakur is due to go on broadway in June.
The musical, called “Holler If Ya Hear Me” will be co-produced by his mother. According to their website, the musical production is a “non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope.”
The cast has yet to be announced, but the production has already got hold of Tony Award-winning choreographer Wayne Cilento as well as “The Color Purple” alum Daryl Waters for music supervision.
