Even a tight-lip confidentiality agreement couldn’t stop the cast and crew from Neill Blomkamp’s new film telling City Press how much of an asshole Ninja from Die Antwoord was on set. Anonymous sources explained how Ninja made life on set hell during the shoot of ‘Chappie’, filmed in Joburg.

“Pile of shit” and “pure evil” were but some of the thoughts on Ninja and his behaviour on set. Sources claim that he was even written out of some scenes by Blomkamp just to get rid of him. You might have done the same – he was reported to have sent pics of performing fellatio on himself to some of the female crew members.

Ninja also crossed the line by constantly telling other actors how to perform their roles, hitting on female staff, giving Dev Patel marijuana via a space cake without his consent, rounded off with a slew of ridiculous list of daily demands while on set. Ninja is also quoted as having asked crew members to join him in Cape Town to “share a couple of prostitutes.”

No official comment has been forthcoming from the Die Antwoord crew, but if the reports are true we might see Sharlto Copley playing both a CGI robot and Ninja’s character in some scenes.
