We lost interest in coloured pencils the moment we got out of kindergarten. But this 19-year-old kid is bringing them back, showing their artistic potential in these hyperrealistic drawings. Take a look at Jose Vergara’s incredibly detailed works of art.

His drawings border sometimes on being a bit cartoonish, but his collection of eyes are almost indistinguishable from the real deal. Vergara is quite the ambitious lad at this stage in his artistic career: “I plan to pursue a path in which I’ll be able to combine the heart and soul of hyperrealism and traditional art with the fun and exciting world of caricatures and graffiti where everything is possible.”
