Brazil Scores Own Goal In World Cup Opener [Video]

Brazilian Defender, Marcelo, got his name in the history books thanks to Fifa World Cup 2014.This might not be as he intended but he is the first Brazilian to score an own goal in a world cup...

Defender Marcelo, walked into the History books, with his World Cup Opener own goal. The much anticipated Fifa World Cup 2014, Brazil, has finally arrived, with some incredible spice for the opening match between Brazil and Croatia.

In the 11th minute, after a cross from Croatian forward Ivica Olic, Marcelo got thrown off by a slight deflection and manage to, gently, roll the Brazuka into his own net. Now that’s one way to shoot a man’s horse down. Brazil hit back with Neymar Jr scoring two goals (one from a dodgy penalty) and Oscar made it 3 -1 to hosts Brazil.

Please enjoy the passion of some Brazil supporters as the own goal happened…Can you imagine what she is saying here…

Don’t miss the action as this promise to be a pearler of a World Cup.
