It really does take all sorts to make up the colourful world we live in and it is definitely true that body shaming is a big issue for both men and women. The answer this woman found? Pole dancing… like you have never seen or imagined it.
If you haven’t seen Lulu perform, you are in for a bit of treat. Yes, she is pretty heavy – around 115 kg’s – but you know what, who really cares? If this is what can give more women the chance to feel sexy and confident (let’s be honest those are most attractive women, right?) we are all for pole dancing for all shapes and sizes.
While the 29-year-old mum-of-two from Maryland might be twice the size of her fellow female pole dancers, she reckons she boasts double the tricks.
She’s got a whole repertoire of lifts, splits, knee-holds and spins in her arsenal and regularly competes on the pole dancing circuit.
As she puts it, she’s got ‘it all in her locker’ and ‘there’s no move she can’t perform’.
Ok, so perhaps “double the tricks” is pushing it a little bit – there are some incredible pole dancers who will absolutely blow your mind – but big cudos to Lulu for taking a stand and doing something she loves and realistically, for her size, she does some pretty amazing things.
