They almost nailed this.
But, unbeknownst to them, they were actually under surveillance, with authorities fully aware of what was going on.
So they are now on trial, accused of being involved in the collection of the drugs.
The Jaguar had been sent from Pakistan, and was due to be collected by Israr Khan of St Ethelbert Avenue, Luton; Noman Qureshi, 32, of Bracken Hill Mews, Bradford and Mohammed Safder, 43, of Sidney Elson Way, East Ham. The men are of course denying having any involvement in the “conspiracy to supply Class A drugs”.
“The Jaguar had no ignition, no electrics and could not be driven.”
It was, however, stuffed with 230kg’s of heroin, valued at a whopping £37 million.
“This was high level crime. The drugs were packaged in different coloured bags for different customers – yellow, orange, blue, red and green.”
The case is still being investigated.
