It is described as the “flawless fancy vivid pink diamond” and it was auctioned at Sotheby’s for a whopping $17.7million.
The 8.41-carat stone went under the hammer in Hong Kong on Tuesday and was expected to fetch $15million.
“According to the auction house, the flawless fancy vivid pink diamond is “amongst the rarest and most desirable of colored diamonds ever seen at auction”.”
