Alcohol adverts tend to show us a life of wonder – if we drink their wine/beer/whisky/vodka/#nameyourpoison we will be transported to a world of short dresses, sparkling lights, private jets and the odd ski resort. In reality though, alcohol will make you feel like I do this morning: slow, a bit shaky, head near exploding point.

South Park highlighted the hypocrisy of this sort of ad campaign in a recent episode called Freemium isn’t Free. The rarely seen live action segment depicts a night of endless hedonism, brought to a close by brief ‘Drink Responsibly’ warning.
You won’t have time to enjoy your cup of tea so maybe just down a Red Bull quickly and watch.
