Jolly Tumuhiirwe, the nanny who was caught hitting and standing on a baby, has spoken about the incident.
She said that she was unaware of the hidden camera, and was “shocked” when the father of the toddler, Eric Kamanzi, started beating her. She sustained welts on her back from apparently being caned.
Arnella was lucky, she did not bleed, but I bled.
The Ugandan human rights lawyer that will be defending Jolly has also said something fantastic:
I wonder how a person weighing 80kg can step on a baby and there is no physical harm on the back.
They’re actually questioning the authenticity of the video.
