Well, the good news (if there can be good news in this case) is that they have so far ruled out terrorism for the Air Asia crash.

Andreas Hananto said his team of 10 investigators at the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) had found ‘no threats’ in the cockpit voice recordings to indicate foul play during AirAsia Flight QZ8501.

Both “black boxes” from the flight have been found, and as far as the voice recordings from the one go, there are “no signs of other persons other than the pilots”. There was no sounds of “gunfire or explosions” either.

It is more than likely the unlucky plane went down because of bad weather.

The final minutes of the AirAsia flight were full of ‘sounds of machines and sounds of warnings’ that must be filtered out to get a complete transcript of what was said in the cockpit.

So far only half of the two-hour long recording has been transcribed, so hopefully more info comes to light.
