Both parents and one of their children were found murdered this morning after an attack on their home in Stellenbosch’s De Zalze Golf Estate.

The parents, aged 55 and 54, were killed along with their 22-year-old son. Two more siblings, a daughter aged 16 and a son aged 20 were admitted to hospital after being injured in the attack.

The specifics of the attack are unclear, with police unwilling to discuss the matter at present. This from news24:

He [Lieutenant Colonel Traut] refused, though, to disclose how the family was killed, or a possible motive.

“We are not speculating at this stage. The forensic guys are still on the scene,” he said.

I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of this story. Here’s hoping the SAPS can get the evidence they need to catch the lowlifes responsible.
