It would be fair to say our malls are currently under siege from criminals. We have covered our fair share of these heists too, so take a trip down memory lane HERE, HERE and HERE if you so desire.

In light of all this it might not be bad idea to wise up a little about what to do should you find yourself in a situation where the shit is hitting the fan. This video has been put together by the Los Angeles PD, but much of the advice rings true regardless of where in the world you are.

The video itself is pretty graphic and in-your-face, with the shock value meant to be jarring. This from Metro:

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said it ‘wanted to affect people’s emotions’ with its powerful ten-minute clip. Scenes include gunmen bursting into a factory, school and shopping mall and shooting people – sometimes at point-blank range. It covers tips on how to survive, the best way to escape and defend yourself against a shooter.

It never hurts to be ready in the case of emergency. I imagine my reaction would be to wail uncontrollably and beg mercilessly so maybe we could all learn a trick or two.
