Bless. Oscar’s granny is proud of him. Obviously.

She has said how she “prays for and remains very proud” of Oscar-woscar, who has managed to survive four months in prison so far.

The bond between the sprightly grandmother and her famous, disabled grandson, is described by other family members as ‘unique’ and ‘special’, particularly since the death of Pistorius’ mother, Sheila.

Gerti, the wondrous 90-year old granny, didn’t even go on the family’s Christmas holiday to the coast, saying “I must stay close to Oscar. I’ll go next year, when he can be with us.”

In other Oscar news, prosecutors have managed to gain ground on having his manslaughter verdict overturned to one of murder.

Apparently Oscar can be heard weeping from his cell on occasion. If all goes to the amputee’s plan, though, he could be serving the rest of his sentence from his home, come July.

Wow I am excited for July when we get to watch OscarTV again. How I have missed it…
