Harrison Ford Crash-Landed A WWII Plane On A Golf Course [Pictures]

The tabloid world is abuzz this morning with the news of Harrison Ford's plane crash. The experienced pilot was forced to make an emergency landing on a golf course and we have the pics.

In what resembles a poorly executed out-take from an Indiana Jones movie, Harrison Ford has crashed a plane he was piloting onto a golf course. The plane allegedly suffered engine failure shortly after takeoff and Ford was forced to do a nose dive straight onto the 8th hole tee box.

Fans of lame jokes have said the last person to crash that badly on a golf course was Tiger Woods. We move on.

It is reported that Ford came out of the crash in pretty good shape. This from Sky News:

He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life-threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery.

The 72-year-old Ford is an experienced pilot, having taken his first lessons back in college. The plane Ford was piloting during the crash is a Ryan Aeronautical plane built in 1942, which is all the proof you need that you should stick to flying flags younger than yourself. Here is Ford piloting a plane back in February of this year.

And here is how far Ford managed to make it after take-off.

All’s well that ends well, I guess. Let’s hope he makes a full recovery, although if these injuries mean we don’t have to endure any more Indiana Jones remakes we can all count our blessings.
