I apologise for the extensive meat references coming your way but in the rap world you really have to ham up your beef sometimes to make bacon. For you vegans out there, that is to say that many records have been sold off the back of those in the rap world sensationalising issues between different artists.
One rap beef that does seem to be nasty to its core is the ongoing feud between Suge Knight, rap mogul, and Dr. Dre, not a doctor. Their latest falling out, taking place on the set of the NWA movie ‘Straight Outta Compton’, saw Suge argue with Dre’s entourage and leave in something of a tizz.
He later arranged to meet with Dre at another location, but when Suge arrived he claims he was jumped by the entourage once more, specifically Cle ‘Boan’ Sloane and Terry Carter. This from TMZ:
Suge claims he was not trying to run either man over but instead was trying to escape out of fear he would be killed. Suge’s lawyer claims Bone and Terry both had guns. Check out the video. Suge’s people say the group assembled near the truck was ominous and he feared if he drove past them he’d be shot.
Suge is currently being tried for murder and attempted murder as Sloane was injured and Carter was killed.
Difficult one to call this, really. He may have been in grave danger but can you really just plough over a human in your car because you feel threatened? Asking for a friend…
