  • How A Little Shop On Kloof Street Is Making Big Retail Look Silly

I find that most of the adult decisions in my life bring on some sense of panic, but buying furniture is right up there with health insurance and tax returns.

Take buying a washing machine. We’ve all been there. Let’s run through that process quickly..

We’ll put aside the fact that you know your bank balance is going to get a battering for a second and deal with all the weird and wonderful places you have to drive to. Then there’s the hassle of contacting your mate with the bakkie, bribing them with promises of future good deeds in return for use of their vehicle.

Often the staff at these places don’t seem at all interested in answering any of your obviously idiotic questions, grunting some kind of general response in your direction. Finally there’s always that little voice in the back of your head that keeps on telling you there’s a better deal out there. You see, the whole process is just too adult for my liking.

Thankfully help is at hand in the form of a 50-year-old, second generation family-run business called A&A Furnishers. Located in Kloof Street, opposite vida, they are known for their competitive pricing and well-trained, knowledgeable staff who take special pride in their after-sales service delivery.

Now to the good people of the Western Cape ONLY, do you want an example of how far your hard-earned money will go? How about their current special, running until the end of May, on a Samsung WF1600W5W 6 Kilo Washing Machine? Where else are you going to get a brand-spanking-new 6kg machine for R3 399? Yeah, thought so.

And all that hassle about sorting out delivery? Relax, have a word with them and delivery can be easily arranged.

All you have to do is pop by (47 Kloof Street, Gardens), give them a ring (021 424 6150 / 021 424 8329) or drop them an email (sales@aafurnishers.co.za / aafurnishers@sapost.co.za) and a friendly staff member will help you out.

No matter whether you are a large corporate company, B&B or first time homeowner – A&A Furnishers offers a wide variety of top quality brands to choose from.

And if you’re still driving around in some obscure part of the city looking for that place a mate of a mate recommended – don’t say we didn’t tell you so.
