If you haven’t yet seen, heard or been subjected to the phenomenon that is Game of Thrones you must be living under a rock somewhere North of the Wall.
Now it is obvious that, along with some stunning set design, the location scouts have hand-picked some rather breathtaking areas in which to film. Here’s BusinessInsider:
The sets…[range] from chilly Scotland to the luscious beaches of Croatia and the deserts of Morocco.
Moroccan travel company Lawrence of Morocco has put together an infographic showing exactly where every set in the show in real life is based. Magheramorne Quarry in Northern Ireland stands in for Castle Black and Hardhome, while the Verdala Palace Grounds play the part of Illyrio Mopatis’ manse.
So without further ado here’s the full breakdown of exactly where your favourite scenes were filmed. You can click the infographic to enlarge the picture.
Looks like it might take a while to tick off your Game Of Thrones world tour. For those less enamoured with gallivanting around the world you can enjoy a socially awkward Jon Snow (HERE) and a recap of some of the show’s more gruesome deaths (HERE).
Also winter is no longer coming – feel it, it is here.
