Well here’s a lady who knows how to take news graciously…

With Caitlyn Jenner’s emergence into the world yesterday, it was only a matter of time before the memes started and the jokes were thrown. And boy, have I seen some shockers already (let’s save that for another day though and rather praise Caitlyn and her bravery). But there’s one Hollywood lady who has been brought into the whole story unintentionally: Jessica Lange.

In case you don’t know who Jessica is – she has won Oscars, Emmys and Golden Globes. You will know her from the 1976 remake of King Kong and from TV series American Horror Story. She also holds a Goodwill Ambassador position for UNICEF.

So why the sudden connection to Caitlyn Jenner?

Shortly after Vanity Fair tweeted their July cover, many people noticed how similar Caitlyn and Jessica look:

What did the 66-year old actress have to say?

Well, after someone explained to her what “trending” meant, she had this to say:

Oh really? That’s so wonderful. Well now I’m going to have to look for that picture.

In case Jessica panicked about it being a bad comparison, The Daily Beast “clarified that this was a good comparison, as the overwhelming response is how beautiful Jenner looks on the cover”.

Jessica, bless her, responded, “That’s an interesting bit of information”.
