The day that Sepp Blatter, bloated toad and overlord of corrupt organisation FIFA, will bow out of office has been set and it can’t come soon enough.
Reports say that FIFA will hold an emergency meeting on December 16 in Zurich, the scene of the original arrests that set the wheels in motion. Here’s Sport24:
The BBC has learned that is the likely date for an emergency meeting in Zurich to decide his successor…
Representatives from all 209 member associations will be invited to the Swiss city to vote in a new presidential election…
A final decision on the date for a presidential election is not expected to be made until July, but it is believed holding an emergency congress in mid-December is Blatter’s preferred option.
Those in the running for the job include Jordan’s Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, the man who lost out to Blatter in the recent elections, and South Korea’s Chung Mong-joon. If that name sounds at all familiar it is because he heads up the Hyundai conglomerate and is a billionaire many times over.
I suppose that can be seen as a plus because, unlike Blatter, he might not need to line his pockets with large sums of money aimed at securing votes for potential World Cup hosts.
Adios Sepp, here’s hoping you’re in a cell somewhere when the voting eventually takes place.
