A 48-year-old former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader is facing some serious jail time after pleading guilty to a charge of fourth-degree rape in Delaware. Molly Shattuck had sex with a 15-year-old boy who was friends with her own son and could face up to 15 years in jail for the offence.

Shattuck had already made a noteworthy entrance into professional cheerleading when she became the oldest NFL cheerleader at the age of 38. It is reported that she became interested in the boy after seeing his pictures on Instagram, with her son telling the boy that his mother was ‘obsessed’. Here’s Gawker:

After the victim replied thank you in a private message through Instagram, Shattuck’s son sent the victim his mother’s cell phone number, saying, “You should text my Mom, she is obsessed with you,” according to court records.

Shattuck then arranged to meet him via text message. Here’s Huffington Post with more:

Shattuck began an inappropriate relationship with the boy in Maryland last year. The two engaged in sexual activity at a vacation rental home in Bethany Beach, Delaware, over Labor Day (sic) weekend. Once they arrived at the beach house, “Shattuck allegedly performed oral sex on the boy, first outside the home while walking the dog and again in her bedroom,” according to court documents obtained last year.

Shattuck will now have to register as a sex offender, with sentencing to follow in mid-August.
