This is getting ridiculous. We’re actually considering placing bets at the 2ov office – bets on if and when this guy is ever going to get his comeuppance.
The AP has now revealed that Cosby admitted to giving young women Quaaludes in a 2005 court hearing, but when they moved to have this rather crucial information released to the public, it was blocked by his lawyers, who were concerned he’d “be embarrassed”.
Bill Cosby testified in 2005 that he got Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he admitted giving the sedative to at least one woman and “other people,” according to documents obtained Monday by The Associated Press.
What’s not yet clear is how this decade-old testimony is going to affect the many, many cases against him, as it seems that Cosby is immune to being convicted. One hopes that such a clear admission of guilt (at least in terms of intent and feeding women drugs) is at least a step in the right direction.
I’m sure there’ll be more coverage as this latest revelation unfolds, so watch this space. (If you’re not entirely fed up of it already.)
