There’s no shortage of random stuff happening on the interweb, we all know that. So it’ll come as no surprise to hear that an anonymous person is asking people to give him/her money, in return for nothing – and they are actually doing it.
Apparently, it’s part of a social experiment – the goal is for strangers to make another stranger a millionaire within 90 days, and if they succeed the mysterious benefactor will document their life for a year afterwards. As Business Insider tells us:
You don’t know who I am, where I am from, or how I’m going to spend your money,” says the millionaire hopeful in the website’s video.
In order to reach its goal, the site needs to earn over $11,000 every day until its October 25th deadline.
Given that they’ve had $12k since the site launched on July 28th, and media interest is gaining momentum, they might actually make it.
One would hope he’d be a philanthropic millionaire and give the spoils of this bizarre experiment to charity, but something tells me it’s unlikely.
