If you were amongst those who enjoyed Vuzu’s show ‘Rich Kids’ (and we really hope you weren’t) then here’s one story that’s bound to catch your attention.

Nape Phasha is in hot water after a biker was killed yesterday in a collision with the Mercedes Benz G-Wagon that he was driving, a vehicle that belongs to his mother. The accident, which took place on the corner of Netcare and Garstfontein streets in Pretoria at around 18:30, has resulted in a case of culpable homicide being opened against him. TimesLive with more:

Netcare 911 paramedics who arrived at the scene assessed the biker and found he had died of his injuries prior to their arrival.

[Captain Coba Brits, spokesperson for the Sunnyside cluster] also rubbished reports Phasha had tried to flee the scene.

“That is not true, the police have all his details,” she said.

Brits would not be drawn into speculation if Phasha was intoxicated, only stating “police had probably carried out the right procedure including taking a blood sample.”

Those reports of Phasha fleeing the scene arose from a Facebook user who witnessed the accident, then posted the car’s licence plate and asked if anyone knew who it belonged to. Twitter account PigSpotter then posted this on their account:

Nape was quick to respond via his account:

Pig Spotter fired back with this just moments ago:

Looks like the plot thickens with this one. Nape’s statement is yet to be released but I’m sure we will hear more details emerging as time goes by.
