I once wrote an essay on how being overtly PC is actually more offensive than saying it how it really is. Like, there were ways to say how someone is short – vertically challenged – and fat – enlarged physical condition caused by a completely natural genetically-induced hormone imbalance.
Pffffft, sure.
That was about 10 years ago and people are still getting offended over the small things.
So when model and foodie Chrissy Teigen tweeted that she’ll never hire a hot nanny, she got lank backlash from the Twittershpere. And was super miffed at the bad reaction.
It’s an ongoing joke in my house. I do want to have kids one day, so it’s something that I have to think about. But the rule is no hot nannies. I trust John, but you never know with these men.
Chrissy is married to sultry John Legend and she was called to defend her Tweet which was obviously a joke and she replied with her famed no-hold-back attitude.
When Monday rolled around, people were still asking questions and taking it personally, tweeting that Chrissy has a thing against female nannies.
Hubby John, tweeted out in a seemingly confused ‘Chrissy-has-all-the-power’ manner:
Aaaaaah, people of the internet, please think before you react to what you read on the internet. See things for what they are not what the seem to be. And remember, most the people you follow don’t know you so what you deem offensive compared to what I do may be on two complete different sides of the scale. For reals, man.
