Whaaaaat. I seriously thought this whole Ashley Madison saga was over – and, more than likely, so did every single person who had signed up for the controversial dating site.

But now, opportunists are taking the chance by blackmailing users whose names were leaked. A bit late, don’t you think?

We already told you about the website that allows you to insert an email address and it searches the database to say YAY or NAY on whether or not that email address was used on the site. So, surely everyone has come out of hiding?

    Nought.

A Cape Town woman has been asked to make a bitcoin payment to some dudes who are threatening to leak her information to her colleagues, friends and family if she doesn’t go through with it.

But since the names are already out there, Arthur Goldstuck, director of World Wide Works says that this is an opportunist blackmail.

Especially as the list of names is already out there to see, those behind it were more likely in possession of a number of names and were trying a hit and miss tactic.
