One of the joys of working at the Woodstock Exchange is the people watching. Plaid shirts and twirly moustaches, completely impractical bikes with wicker baskets up front, not a day goes by without a sighting of a grade A hipster.
We tend to draw the line at staring mind you, because the mob mentality has gone a little too far when you’re wielding flames and sticks with your face covered by a pig mask.
This angry mob in Shoreditch, London, were so incensed by what they deem the over-gentrification of the east London suburb that they turned anarchists. The target of their fury was the Cereal Killer café, an establishment that only serves cereal at rather ridiculous prices. Below from the Telegraph:
The event, billed as the third “F**k Parade”, was apparently organised by the anarchist group Class War.
A Facebook statement said: “Our communities are being ripped apart – by Russian oligarchs, Saudi Sheiks, Israeli scumbag property developers, Texan oil-money t***s and our own home-grown Eton toffs.
“Soon this City will be an unrecognisable, bland, yuppie infested wasteland with no room for normal (and not so normal) people like us.”
The idea of forking over hard-earned pounds for a bowl of cereal should make you a little uneasy but here’s the catch – if you don’t like it then don’t eat there, a mob of masked pig-face anarchists might be a touch on the extreme side.
