UPDATE: Here Is A Live Feed Of The #feesmustfall Chaos At Parliament [LIVE STREAM]

As UCT students mobilise and head over to parliament ahead of Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene’s mid-term budget speech at 2PM today we’ve noticed some interesting slogans doing the rounds.

Many perfectly sum up the disillusionment of our country’s students, but one item that has really grabbed our attention is a red hat. Not a beret, rather a hat that has taken its inspiration from none other than Donald Trump and made it uniquely South African. A reader sent us in these pics below…

If that cap looks at all familiar it’s because we were told about it a while ago, this blurb from their site:

Whilst Donald Trump’s cap might stand for something in particular (we’re still trying to figure that out), our new range of caps have been made to inspire South Africans who feel fed up about anything whatsoever. Whether it’s load shedding, unemployment, crime, or the fact that they discontinued Fritos chakalaka flavour, show your support for a GREAT South Africa, by wearing your special red cap!

Young South Africans are certainly fed up at the moment and it looks like the student protesters are embracing the ‘Make SA Great Again‘ message.

It looks like someone literally just took the shittiness of Trump and gave it to the people who need it the most. #winning.
