If you happen to live slap bang in the mix of Cape Town city life we’re guessing you frequent the Gardens Shopping Centre from time to time. Who wouldn’t, it’s full of beautiful people and a range of shops that cover almost any base.

Now a while back (all the way back in May, to be precise) we started noticing some changes going on, some of the greenery being done away with and sections of the centre being blocked off. Shock, horror, what exactly was going on in this neck of the woods?

We did a little prophesying and threw some ideas around, some folks claiming to be on the inside dropping hints about new escalators and a sexy cosmetic makeover. Now, finally, it appears the mystery has been solved and we’re all invited to the big reveal.

Gardens Centre is having a mini-launch from 26-30 October, the highlights including:

    · Showing off the Centre’s refurbishment
    · Getting acquainted with a new tenant, Chocolate By Tomes
    · Showcasing the Woolworths expansion and Pick n Pay renovations
    · Checking out the Erke and Wellness Centre relocation

We’re prone to stopping by now and again and from what we’ve seen the new Centre looks epic – all the familiar favourites still going strong with some new kids on the block to spice things up.

And of course all those beautiful people, they’ll still be there too.
