When your restaurant starts catching flak online things can quickly go south, which is why one should doff their caps to the manager of Bennet’s Cafe & Bistro in northeast England.
Bennet’s does rather well on TripAdvisor, the 432 reviews seeing it ranked 11th out of 696 restaurants in the city. Then a customer called ‘Hannah C’ waded in and had herself a lovely old rant which you can see below:
Of course that’s an overly simplistic approach, something the manager made abundantly clear with his response:
The thing is that most people have never worked in the service industry, thus thinking like that doesn’t even come into the equation. Kudos to the manager for making his point without resorting to nasty name calling, sometimes taking the high road can be rather tricky.
