It’s quite a relief to leave the weird meme trends up to countries in the East. They are very reliable with anything even remotely strange. The latest is from China and involves legs, an iPhone 6 and proving you’re skinny.
Just two weeks ago, Chinese women were proving that they had thin waists by holding a peice of A4 paper against their body.
And now, women are placing an iPhone 6 on their knees to prove they have skinny legs. After going viral this week, there are no shortage of critics – obviously.
One Facebook commenter wrote:
Whoever started these beauty trends certainly deserves a medal, something along the lines of ‘The Most Moronic Idea of the Year’.”
Another commented:
The world seems to be losing sense by the moment…
Whether the women are using an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 6 Plus is unclear, but as women across the world are trying to change the idea of body images, it’s a bit concerning.
But, this is the East, it does what it wants. Between old traditions and new advancements, China especially is its own entity.
