Button down the hatches Cape Town, it looks like we are in for some torrid conditions over the weekend.
I’m sure the surfers out there will be stoked (SO PITTED, BRO), but for the rest of the city it may be best to stay indoors.
A quick check on WindGURU shows that at around 2PM tomorrow we can expect gusts of 51 knots – that’s a cool 95 km/h. Check the screenshot below and look for the blue speed:
That’s a solid speed of around 67 km/h in the afternoon, and best you keep a close eye on those gusts because that’s some serious ‘ruin your umbrella and make you look like a fool’ speeds.
